If you have any of the following types of relationships: spouse/former spouse, current or former cohabitant as an intimate partner,  have a child in common with the respondent or are a current or former dating partner of the respondent (just added this – need confirmation from DPAs) and the court finds a credible threat of domestic violence then the court must enter an order to surrender weapons.
