TYPES OF PROTECTION ORDERS
Protection from Abuse
Protection from Abuse (PFA) Orders are for individuals who have experienced abuse, domestic violence, or threats from a family member, household member, current or former intimate partner, or another person covered under Kansas law. A PFA can order the abusive person to stop the abuse or contact, stay away from you, leave a shared residence, and provide other protections to help keep you safe. These orders are governed by K.S.A. Chapter 60, Article 31 (K.S.A. 60-3101 through 60-3111).
