Jurisdiction

The Tribal Court and the Alaska state courts can both hear many of the same kinds of cases. The Tribal Court can usually hear a case when one or more people in it are Tlingit & Haida tribal citizens, or can enroll. People who are not tribal citizens can sometimes agree to have the Tribal Court hear their case.
