CLERK’S ALERT

Notice Regarding a New Virtual Protection Order Office

The King County Superior Court Clerk’s Office is implementing a new customer service method for protection order customers. Beginning, Monday, October 5, 2020, we will launch a virtual protection order office for our customers seeking a civil protection order. This virtual office will be accessible from the Clerk’s website located at: https://www.kingcounty.gov/courts/clerk/PO.aspx.

In this new process, customers will be able to submit their protection order petitions, have them reviewed by the Clerk via live conversation and receive real time service from our customer service staff.

The Clerk’s Office will no longer accept email protection order submissions as of the close of business on October 2, 2020.

This is additional information that we received from the clerks office as it relates to the website update that will happen by Monday supposedly.

Also: the Clerk’s office will send all information to LE for data entry and certified copies to customers the same business day we receive the orders back from the Court.
